Community-Funded Initiatives

Life Jacket Loaner Station
Support for the loaner station originally installed by board member Samantha Russell in 2017, plus roughly 20 sponsored life jackets each year so families can borrow the right size before they head to the water.
Residential Smoke Detector Program
Smoke detectors purchased for Keizer homes. Keizer Fire District personnel install one at no cost when a resident does not have a working detector.
Wildland Season Crew Support
Food, drinks, snacks, and hydration for firefighters working long summer wildland shifts, plus snack baskets for the families waiting for them at home.
Fire District Open House Sponsorship
Sponsors and serves hot dogs at the annual Keizer Fire District Open House, an event that brings neighbors face-to-face with the crews who serve them.
BLAST Camp
A summer camp hosted with the Keizer Police Department, Keizer Fire District, and Marion County Fire District. Kids meet first responders and practice safety, teamwork, leadership, and community service.
Car Seat Safety Checks
Support for community car seat check events where certified technicians help caregivers install and use child seats correctly.
Life Jacket Loaner Station
Board member Samantha Russell installed the original loaner station as a personal project in 2017. The foundation has helped sponsor about twenty life jackets each year since — so families always have the right-sized jacket before they head to the water.
